International Kite Festival at Necklace Road, Hyderabad (January)

With kites of all shapes , sizes and colours, people take part in the gala event and compete with international kite flying champions , filling the skies of Hyderabad  with high flying colours.



Kakatiya Festival at Warangal (January)

Warangal has always been the crucible that blended the most exclusive of arts. Held in this historic place, the kakatiya Festival brings the most distinguished artists from various parts of the country, in an attempt to celebrate  the glory of the great past. 

 

Deccan Festival/Hyderabad Festival at Qutb shahi Tombs, Hyderabad (April)

This festival brings the choicest talents from the fields of Music , Dance and Theatre. Ghazals, Mushairas, Qawwalis, Classical Dances and Music, reverberate in 5the air of Hyderabad . The Deccan festival essentially mirrors the glorious Qutb Shahi epoch.

  

Lumbini Festival at Hyderabad / Nagarjunasagar (April or at the time of Buddah poornima every year)

Hyderabad, the capital city of Andhra Pradesh hosts the biggest monolithic Buddah statue. And Nagarjuna Sagar is the place that abounds with historic  uniqueness and amazes with modernity. Conducted in these two places , the festival tries to retell the unforgettable yore of age-old Buddhist heritage. With exclusive cultural programes and enchanting dances, the festival attracts tourists and Buddhists from all over the world. The places echo with messages of the Budha and acharya Nagarjuna. 
  


Rayalseema Food and Dance Festival 
(September-October)

Held to coincide with the Brahmostsavam of Lord Sri Venkateshwara of Tirupati. Artisans, craftsmen and weavers from all parts of the country take part while the food courts offer mouth watering cuisine of Rayalseema. 

  


The Vijayanagar Festival at Chadragiri (October) 

The historic Chandragiri fort near Tirupati, (where a Sound & Light Show is held daily) stands testimony to the grandeur of the Vijayanagar rulers. This festival coincides with the annual Brahmotsavam at the Tirumala temple. The visitors who witness the most reputed musicians and dancers perform embark on a journey into the past. Through the Rayalseema Food Festival which is also held at the same time , the most traditional delicacies of the region are brought forth exclusively for the gourmet's delight.

 
  
All India Girijan Festival and Artists' Camp at Araku Valley and Borra Caves (November) 

Through this festival, AP Tourism brings forth the spell-binding talents of the Girijans and the Tribes. In the picturesque valley of the tribes who create magic with their hands.




All India Arts and Crafts Festival at Shilparamam, Madhapur, Hyderabad (December) 

AP Tourism has been organizing annual arts and Crafts Melas to breathe life into languishing art forms. During these Melas, Craftsperson from across the country come to display their exclusive creations. Buyers come and pick up objects d'art directly from the makers with out having to deal with middlemen.

On the golden beaches of Visakhapatanam, this festival brings an inimitable blend of folk and classical dances and music . At this festival , the people are in for a treat at craft Bazaars, Exhibition Stalls and Food Courts.
